How can the Australian eResearch community move forward to the standard of project proposal template and evaluation process achieved by the JISC in the UK for selecting projects to fund?
This funding call gives an example of the maturity of the JISC's processes:
It would be interesting to hear both from those who have managed these calls and those who have responded to them regarding their experience with the process -- for example whether they find the level of rigour to be useful or cumbersome.
I think it would be good to get a panel together to review JISC's templates and processes to assess how relevant they are in Aus, and to see if we can maybe streamline them somewhat :)
